Smith Coffee Cherry Tea

We’ve teamed up with our friends at Steven Smith Teamaker to create this limited-edition herbal tea using the dried berries of the coffee plant from our Salvadoran sourced coffee beans. It is also known as cascara, from the Spanish cáscara, meaning "husk". This lightly caffeinated tea is slightly sweet, with hints of cherry. Enjoy it warm or iced. 

Here are some recipes we recommend:

Single Strength:

  1. Steep 1 sachet in 8 oz. of water just off a boil.
  2. Remove sachet after 10 minutes and add cold water to make a ½ quart (16 oz.).
  3. Additional sachets can be added or steeped longer to increase tea’s strength if desired.

Concentrate:

  1. Steep 1 sachet in 8 oz. of water just off a boil.
  2. Remove sachet after 10 minutes.
  3. Let cool to room temperature.
