Finca Santa Barbara is part of the Menendez Family’s network of farms in the Apaneca- Ilamatapec mountain range of western El Salvador. It rises up the slopes of the Cerro Las Ranas Volcano, reaching the highest altitudes for cultivating coffee in El Salvador. This lot is of the Pacamara coffee plant type and goes through a mechanical washing process at Beneficio Piedra Grande, the family’s coffee mill. The cup is complex yet approachable with notes of buttercream and meyer lemon underpinned by a caramel sweetness.
