About the producer:

Tadesse Edema is the owner of the mill produced this lot. He comes from a family deeply invested in coffee farming in the Guji region and has been managing the processing and export of specialty Guji coffee since 1996. His brothers own washing stations in Guji Shakisso and Guji Kercha.

The Tabe Burka lot is collected from smallholder cooperative members within a 10-kilometer radius of the mill, where it is cleaned and sorted, after which the cherry is fermented away over the first 24-36 hours. It takes 16 to 18 days on raised beds to dry the coffee to a point that it's ready to be prepared for export.

This coffee marks a new journey for our partners at Odyssey Coffee Importers (producer/exporter/importer of Finca Ayutepeque), that we are grateful to be apart of. They partnered with Belco, a french coffee distributor, to find traceable, quality Ethiopian coffees that match the work they do in El Salvador. This is the first season to import and the coffee is a testament to the success of the project.
